L.U.T.E.A.''s wellness talking circles and programs offer an indigenous perspective on healing through a spiritually pragmatic approach towards balance (hozho) and a pathway of peace. All talking circles are open to everyone. Our Wellness programs are group participation and/or individually mentored.
Our founder, Diveena Marcus, PH.D. Indigenous Studies, is an Indigenous Northern California enrolled citizen of the Tamalko(Coast Miwok)/Southern Pomo Federated Indians of Graton Rancheria. For 25 years Dr. Marcus carried a healing vision dream where teachings from the Creators, Elders and scholarship across the country and Canada would be in practise.. Relationships made upon that journey have strengthened the circle of universal indigenous teachings that L.U.T.E.A. honors and presents on California homelands. in Crescent City, CA.
LUTEA's Freedom Garden is on 2 acres of land in Elk Valley in Del Norte County, CA.. In our gardens we offer mentoring events with Elders and Culture Bearers, and hands-on workshops and presentations on sustainability from indigenous perspectives and methodologies.
